The image search developed by Prof. Dr sc. ETH Björn Ommer from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Dr Anna Lukasson-Herzig from nyris GmbH has been nominated as one of the top three for the prestigious Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2024. The two have created the foundations and applications to democratise generative artificial intelligence and make it accessible to various industries. This ground-breaking technology is based on the highly efficient AI platform ‘Stable Diffusion’ and enables a revolutionary visual AI search.
The software provides a particularly efficient generative artificial intelligence that enables us to identify machine parts in seconds - based on just a photo. With this technology, you can simply take a photo of a defective component with your mobile phone, for example, and the system quickly finds the matching original part in an extensive catalogue.
‘Stable diffusion":
Through the targeted reduction of image content, in which it is gradually noised and reduced to its core components, the AI model manages with significantly less computer power than comparable systems. This makes the technology not only faster, but also more efficient.
Thanks to this innovation, you can now search for components even faster and more precisely - a real step forward for your production processes.
